The Gilgen FD10 swing door operator is the perfect solution for automating internal door sets, with its sleek design and 60-minute fire rating. This versatile operator fits seamlessly into a building’s fabric.
Designed for high performance, maximum service life, and extra-quiet operation, our swing door drive units are ideal for new installations and existing doors alike, but is best suited as an internal entrance solution.

Automatic operator
Swing door operator includes adjustable spring force closing (EN 3-7), for different widths of door leaves in accordance with EN 1154.
Fully automatic or low energy operation settings included complete with a back check and adjustable hold open, transom mounted with standard rods/sliding rods fitted to door leaf.
Integrated INVERSE function
If required, the FD 10 can be configured to ‘Inverse’, in order for the door to always fail in the OPEN condition. This is especially suitable for smoke ventilation or emergency escapes.
Activation & control system per door set
- Built-in program selector keys are located on the side of the operator
- Key switch configured for off, automatic, and hold open operating modes

Safety in an emergency

- FD10 can work with 4Safe and Flat Scan 3G Infrared safety sensors or a safety provider of your choosing. They are mounted on the top rails of the front and back of the door, providing maximum safety in compliance with EN 16005
- Customers must buy and install suitable finger protection to comply with EN16005 & the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, to protect against potential hazards caused at the hinge or pivot stile

Associated works per door set
- 1no. 240v 13A LIVE neon lit fused spur supply, protected by a 30mA RCD must be provided prior to installation
- If required to connect to the fire alarm system a pair of normally open volt free contacts are to be supplied terminating at the drive unit location by others
Straight-forward setup & installation
- Installation carried out by the manufacturer’s engineers must be to EN16005 standards
- Installing FD 10 doors is made easy with a combined chassis or mount plate and the module pre-tensioned closing spring is suitable for all types of doors

- Safety barrier rails should be installed if it is possible to approach the doors from the side (EN16005)
